Fire Risk Assessment Training

Risk Matrix offers different levels of training to suit your needs, from half-day fire risk assessment sessions, to one day, in-depth fire risk assessment and fire safety workshops and training courses.

HALF-DAY courses are intended for people with some fire safety knowledge, but require a brief overview, with emphasis on fire risk assessment techniques. 

ONE-DAY courses are aimed at providing the knowledge and confidence to enable people without fire safety backgrounds to carry out fire risk assessments.

Tabletop Exercises

Full multimedia tabletop exercises can be custom built to simulate a real fire scenario in your premises.  The exercise will test your staff’s responses to various events playing out in slow time.  Following the exercise a model answer will be given to consolidate the learning experience.

Fire Extinguisher Training

Basic fire fighting extinguisher training for staff

Duration: Half Day

Syllabus:

Theory of combustion the basic theory includes the triangle of fire

Classes of fire and fire extinguishers classes A, B, C, D and F fires plus fires involving electrical appliances and the correct extinguishing media

Use of fire fighting equipment do’s and don’ts of fire fighting and limitations of portable fire-fighting equipment

Practical fire-fighting use of fire extinguishers

SAFETY TIP

Never use a fire extinguisher on a burning chip pan
